The Worst Nightmare
Rainbowed balloons on the wall,
roller-coaster, ferris wheel, seesaw.
I thought I could find someone there,
someone who could want to be my affair.
Oh, c'mon, how could I be so naive?
Waiting for rewards I'll never receive?
I chase rainbows of happiness,
and ever find the same loneliness.
It hurts to the bones.
Everything is done.
Every dream is gone.
And I will die alone.
(No! Wake up! You will survive.
Now go, walk out that door!)
